it would be pretty dam easy to stick a couple of 100 buck epirbs (as compulsory on all boats that go more than a km offshore)at the outer edges of the wing tips into every plane...even if the plane crashed its unlikely the epirbs would be destroyed

easily activated by emersion in water or by altitude ...easily programmed for different scenarios.

Easily locatable to a few metres.
