The Roaring Forties is hardly likely to be calm enough to allow a huge aircraft to ditch smoothly enough to allow it to sink intact into the depths.
The Hudson Bay incident is not comparable and the plane in that case was a commuter aircraft so not as large as the 777. The Hudson Bay landing was close to a miracle.
