A lot of these phones would have been on international roaming and thus could be somewhat unpredicatable in the response... I suspect that this has already been investigated and dismissed or withheld for some purpose of other...

As we saw with the PR disaster in Beijing, MAS and/or Malaysian govt seem to be trying to keep the media away from the relatives. Could just be more PR bungling that we have seen, or also something else.... Can only guess at this stage...
