It was not dodging, spiraling, timing anything.
It was an aircraft with burnt out avionics i.e. no transponder function simply meandering through the air.
Did you read the AAIB report link I posted, or just jump straight on to shoot down my theory on what happened?
Buy the way I operated the same type for more years than I can remember. You are only visible to short range
primary radar when all the avionics are burnt out.
