Trouble with that plan is all levels of governments are addicted to alcohol taxes, tobacco taxes, oil excise, and the big one mining royalties.
you could build 7 to 10 nuclear plants that would power plants and that could provide nearly enough power for the entire country for an entire year. Or you could cover the area of Victoria in solar panels to get the same effect. Some non Victorians may see some appeal in the last suggestion?
