Very fast charging can be achieved but AT very high cost. As current goes up charge efficency goes down can be below 50 %. Part of problem is the waste heat must be removed. For a Tesla X first they run fans then as temp goes up they use AC. Uping the amount of power wasted. They also voide battery warenty if you do this too many times. Each fast charge lessens total storage of pack. Same is ture of using two much of the capacity. Teslas recomendation is except where needed keep charge under 90% and discharge abouve 30% for good batery life and long term performance. if somone tells you about the fast charge rate ask about efficency and if it changes warenty on batteries if used once a week.
Fast charging and discharging is seeing more battery research $ than any thing else. But the solution is not here yet JMO solving this is far more important than Price per KWH stored. it is core to BEV usability.
