Agree, but at the moment they are underperforming which is a fact. Most fund managers do not outperform vs the index over the long term.
Omitting any distributions for simplicity, these are the performance figures vs the Nasdaq ETF.
MHH (ASX listed) 11 Oct 2019 Share Price $1.5 , 4 Feb 2021 Share Price $1.48 - 1.3% Fall
NDQ (ASX listed) 11 Oct 2019 Share Price $19.51 , 4 Feb 2021 Share Price $29.01 - 48.7% Gain
Since the listed time frame is so short, we can also compared vs the unlisted trust
MHH (Unlisted) 29 May 2015 Holding Value $15,753 , Dec 2020 Holding Value $26,763 - 69.9% Gain
NDQ (ASX listed) 29 May 2015 Share Price $10.26 , 4 Feb 2021 Share Price $27.68 - 169.8% Gain
Also during last years Feb-Mar falls there was significant underperformance.
MHH drop during the Feb-Mar 2020 drop - 38.07% Fall
NDQ drop during the Feb-Mar 2020 drop - 20.17% Fall
I still hold but haven't gone all in as previously.
