Dear Onceover, your concerns are shared by me, until I did some homework on rock chipping.

there is no doubt that this area has been walked over 100 years ago and sampled … and clearly the old timers couldn’t pan any colour.

However, we are now learning that with modern assaying technology, high grade grade is not always easy to sample with a pan.

some gold, is so fine, it doesn’t dolly up and leave a tail in a pan.

I suggest you ring the company and ask if they have ever tried to pan gold from the rocks that have assayed ~60 g/t?

My bet is they will have, and they now understand why no old workings

I think this area could prove up to be something rather unique and special in the Eastern Goldfields
