    I agree in the medium - longer term but in the short term the idea is that it represents no greater cost than to landfill. As Ben Mead said in his presentation this fits better with the American psyche, the profit motive rather than the regulator forcing an outcome upon the Aluminium producers.

    The EPA (or state equivalents) would be welcoming of this technology as they get the outcome they desire (no landfill) without imposing costs on these companies and potentially costing jobs (which would be politically difficult in the US at this time).

    So the MHM tech is in the right place at the right time. A win-win.

    Europe is a different matter, they are used to regulation and the dominant player there exists because it isn't competing with a landfill solution cost-wise.

    But first we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin!
