Keep talking it up, keep reinforcing you own beliefs. Whatever you do don't consider any other possibilities that might confront your version of reality... it's far too comfortable.
In case you just don't get it, which clearly you don't, I'll let you in on a little secret. It was never about weapons of mass destruction. That was just the 'angle', the weak point, the opportunity.
Iraq under Saddam was not a threat, to Kuwait, to Israel (only regarded as 6th on the list) let alone the USA.
Some facts: Iraq went through a war in 91, and had virtually all its major infrastructure bombed. It was then sanctioned with all imports having to be approved by the US. Some years later under Clinton they were bombed again. All the while half the country had no fly zones imposed on them and opportunistic bombing took place virtually every second day. UN inspectors had virtual free reign in the country. Never before in history has any country been so scrutinised.
The military was never reconstituted anywhere near previous levels let alone the infrastructure required for nuclear or advanced missile technology. You could see for yourself how ill equiped the Iraqie army was.
Iraq and key defectors insisted that all chemical and biological weapons were destroyed, they were not believed, despite the fact that the UN never found anything. Iraq was asked to prove a negative, which is impossible. You can't prove something isn't there, so this is now his fault?
Why do you think so many people protested this war? The reasons were clearly bogus. Those that held these suspicions have been proved correct. Rather than adopting a more cautious approach the US and 'allies' insisted that Iraq was an imminant threat - clearly bullshit- but the opportunity window was closing, they had to go in or miss their chance.
You lot have been played and you don't even know it. I'm sure to many of you it's insync with you racial or religous prejudice so you're quite happy to prostitute the truth.
And if you really think the US is going to impose a free and democratic government on Iraq you only have to look as far as Afganistan to see that its lip service only. Once they've secured the regions considered strategic to them, the rest of the country will be left to whatever fate awaits them.
