watso has no real idea - but read somewhere that javascript has nothing to do with java.

for what it is worth, but watso runs puppy linux - and uses two browsers - one with javascript disabled - but there is no java. the full size of the downloaded operating system is about 160mb. java (or JRE -ie java runtime environment) is a separate download of about 50mb
