There's an old saying among TV producers "You'll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of your audience." I have always acknowledged the truth in this but smugly thought the electorate was more representative and collectively fairly sane.
It seems the producers were spot on, even when extrapolated to the population at large. I'm not sure I could handle another 3 years of this fool but I'm starting to concede the possibility. I don't believe the Morgan poll though. I fear for my country, the country I've always believed in.
