Instead of attacking Shine - why not direct frustration towards Johnson & Johnson? Important to distinguish between friend and foe.

As this article says: 1/3 is the common ratio, it was known, and it needs to compensate for a lot of other things as well. Let's not forget the Mesh case commenced in 2012 and Shine took on enormous risk because it had to fund 10 years of work before seeing any potential cash income. The proceeds also need to fund work on many other cases that never make it into the court room, or those lost in or out of court. They will also have to fund cases currently being worked on and those yet to come.

Litigation law is not an easy busy (take a look at the dismal numbers of Slater & Gordon). And without companies like Shine, nobody would stand up against corporations to right wrong.

I also agree on the importance of lawyers too. Everyone likes what they do until they have to pay. Unfortunately, lawyers are a necessary evil. Without them people would just be screwing each other all the time.
