Malcom Maiden's article today comparing bank leveraging around the world is a bit of a laugh. First of all, some of those banks are exposed so directly to massive infrastructure projects.
And second, saying MQG is OK because its leveraged 13 times while UBS is leveraged 40 times is analogous to saying MQG only has treatable septicemia while UBS has terminal cancer. Frankly, you don't want to involved with either one.
