From what little i can gather from the press release, they intend to pay for a 2010 debt by issuing new shares worth US$210 mil.
Not sure what will be worse, raising new bond to roll over old debt at higher interest rate or issuing new shares at current share price.
But either way, i dont own enough shares of qbe to merit further investigation.
Was just reading october comsec research saying that due to quiet cat season, qbe should have 1 billions extra in overprovision and thus the price back then of $14 merit a buy recommendation ( overweight, for the sticklers).
I think it is worrisome when pro researchers can be that wrong, what chance do i have of getting it right with this company.
