Even the way men speak to women puzzles me at times.
Was present when a nice lady did something nice and this friend turned round and said - aren't you a good girl.
When we walked away I asked - what would you have said if it were a guy who did that for you.
He looked puzzled.
To start with she was not a girl, she was a woman of his age and as I pointed out to him he would probable said something like- thanks mate, that terrific and do I owe you anything extra?
Told him I thought he talked down to her and was surprised he didn't start patting her on the head.
The fact is he is a really nice guy and it surprised me that he couldn't see anything wrong.
He's also the type to think before he opens his mouth and has a bigger brain than I have.
