I have "lost" more than most, certainly on this forum, and would like nothing more than the $10 valuation talked about today. However, closing mines the minute they become unprofitable should not be looked apon as "the only solution".
I believe companies have a social obligation to their communities they are in. Easy for us share holders to say "close it down", but what about the families relying on OZL to put a roof over their heads and food on the table?
For those still in a job, think about if you were in such an uncertain environment? While there may be positives in closing down unprofitable mines, the down side is loss of jobs and a contributor to the up coming/present recession which can be argued has us here in the first place.
