You may be right about "management's" obligations (or lack of thereof) but answering a simple question about the limits of powers of these "moderators" would be helpful to users - you know the people that make this site what it is.

I went around in circles trying to find out the answer to this question on Friday in a discussion with Gerry and so far no joy. It is pointless him engaging in arguments with members then, when it all gets too hard for him, he says he can't answer and we should direct our questions to management.

I've never put anyone on ignore except for bellringer in his most delusional period, but now Gerry goes on ignore out of simple frustration. I don't ever want to have to talk with him again so if he ever answers my questions can someone re-post it for me so that I can see it.

I know it won't happen but if I were to be asked whether I thought Gerry was suitable as a moderator then, after I stopped laughing, I would so NO.
