I bought toxo at levels way under 1 cent but I did not convert...

I bought toxo at levels way under 1 cent but I did not convert them until December 2005 so I triggered a CGT event by doing so and cannot claim discounted CGT until December this year. Do some of you think that your 12 months will commence from when you bought the oppies because my advice is that is not the case? Perhaps I am just misreading some of the posts on this issue and you bought oppies and converted them almost straight away?
