The market is the market. Sometimes it's paranoid, sometimes it's overly optimistic. It's rarely right and it's definitely HEAVILY influence by big traders.
Keep in mind that even the big hedge and superannuation funds are shorting because those that don't are looking over the fence and seeing those that do, make money.
The market is man made and a big flock of sheep with some wolves wearing wool. Some sheep are lucky and seem to think they are stock gods and others are unlucky and try to figure out what a wolf in wool actually looks like.
Regarding this stock...the management are going to have to be strong,focused and engaged with staff to shake the historic bad blood.
There's no good reason for the stock not to do well but there's plenty of chances it may.
