Surrogate viruses are live viruses. The only thing about surrogate viruses is that they are attenuated so they do not have the same virulence (capacity to cause disease if brought into human contact) as the original one. This is done by removing a segment of RNA which transcribes for its virulence. But the rest of its biochemical and physical properties remain the same. Hence, if the Microgenix air purification is able to destroy the surrogate, it's able to destory the original. The same principle works when testing anthrax, tuberculosis and smallpox.

Hence their paragraph:
"SARS is a corona virus, Tests on surrogate viruses indicate that the Microgenix System will eliminate the SARS virus."

Means that their microgenix air purification system is effective against SARS!

I think its safe to say we can expect some sort of an announcement from AFT in regards to SARS.
