re: surrogate viruses- tanpal Tanpal - It is my understanding that a surrogate virus is a virus that is closely related to but not neccessarily the same virus. Usually the viruses are so closely related that they do tend to have a lot of the same properties but this is not always the case and cannot be conclusively assumed. I study this stuff a lot and intend to get my degrees one day but haven't yet so I could be wrong.
