    Not correct @Lapdog and if you knew anything about technology you would know that. There has been no cut to technology budgets in most governments across Australia except Queensland. The technology that the Australian governments is as robust as in any government throughout the world.. The major software used SAP, Oracle, TechnologyOne, SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics is hosted in world class data centres. The reality of the situation is that software will always be vulnerable and there is no way to completely correct that situation, especially if there are bad actors. They have invested in a move to the cloud, which is the best place to safeguard, and they do have cyber security divisions that are incredibly effective. If you undertsood the number of attacks that fail you would see how effective they are.

    I would love to see government spend more, but I cannot fault all the governments from implementing best practice solutions. If the hackers are well funded they will always find vulnerabilities, but it is always going to be a proactive approach that may require our cyber security people to be reactive in instances. Businesses could invest a lot more, but they will always be reactive to events and their risk strategy.
