Picked up a Sharp Carousel Convection/Microwave for $60.00 at an auction, accidentally I might add. I thought I was doing an absentee bid on a bar fridge, but when I went to collect, they pointed me to the microwave. No loss at all as I already had one exactly the same but it cost me a lot more than $60.00. They are fantastic with the convection option as you can use the oven as a spare whenever you have guests and want extra space. The 'intellisensor' function weighs the meat and dish and then calculates how long it should cook with a mix of microwave and convection, depending on the protien: ie Chicken, Beef and Lamb. Super fast with the added bonus of convection into the mix.
Works as a straight microwave too if you like. Easy to clean and simple to operate. I'm sure there are others out there that are just as good, but the convection option is an option I wouldn't live without in the microwave footprint. If it's going to take up space in your kitchen, you may as well have it as multi-functional as possible. It's also worked as a "Help" oven when family or friends' ovens die and they need a temporary fix. Easy to cart and easy to set up. So far this year it has had two outings to assist with kitchen crises.
