The Russians and Americans have been commodity traders and competitors since the days of St. Petersburg...a big trading centre, early 1900's. Except for the Communism blip, they have resumed their competition and a few others have joined in. The downside is the inevitable wars and conflicts. When much of the current dust has settled the world will be in a better shape or should be. Technology has made great advances that have yet to be enjoyed by the majority of the world's population. The coming years will see a focus on selling this better life to the teeming masses by the big industrialists. Hang on to your seats!
