Escalation on the border with Lebanon
There is another escalation observed on the border with Lebanon. Alarm is sounding across the north of Israel, and "Hezbollah" has reported launching hundreds of rockets and dozens of UAVs. The targets were several IDF military bases, including those on the occupied Golan Heights, and according to preliminary information, there are at least some wounded as a result of the strikes.
In addition, there are fires due to the fall of ammunition and debris from interceptor missiles, and civilian infrastructure was damaged in several settlements.
In response, the Israeli Air Force and artillery struck settlements in southern Lebanon, predictably claiming attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure. In Kafr Shuba, Lebanese photojournalist Ahmed Ghanem was injured. In Deir Siriane, an abandoned chicken farm was subjected to a missile air strike.
Throughout the day, the IDF Air Force repeatedly violated the borders of Lebanon. At the same time, the few remaining local residents in the south of the country reported hearing explosions in the air, most likely associated with fighter jets breaking the sound barrier.
