    Agree there Garykildey,
    the small holes in/out of the coal seem to form an uder ground cell / reactor seems to be a way of isolating the process successfufully. and to encase the whole process in a steam jacket. Thereby any extra ground water or raising of the water table should be of benenfit, to secure the reactor!!!!!
