perhaps Andrews had no idea of Mikakos’ privileged Ivanhoe Grammar, Melbourne Uni, PWC and Mallesons background, and thought she was like her accent alluded, a Metro North immigrant (Mikakos was born in Australia to an extremely privileged family background, and despite her “accent“, her law degree and quals are top class and elitist).

Perhaps if Mikakos has spoken and acted normally and not allowed the “subversion” to take place, Labor and her would have done better but this idea that in Victorian Labor, her (like Bob Hawke in Wills) need to speak like their English was learnt in migrantburb, where sentences were difficult, is ridiculous. Labor people know how to speak with normal Australian accents for preselections and other trash processes they have.

Mikakos has stated to the inquiry that Andrews’ evidence should be taken with “caution” and that Andrews’ behavior was “subversion” of amongst other things, the Cabinet and Cabinet responsibility.

That is an extremely serious and cutting accusation.

It is pretty close to the strongest way of tarnishing Andrews’ whole credibility.

No one else other than Andrews has gone to his defense.

Pakula, Neville and Andrews might be gone sooner than thought if this continues.

Jacinta Allan, from the town of Bendigo of Bendigo Riots fame, is the person most likely to replace them. Another Kirner type leader, that would be the end of Labor. I think everyone in Labor would know Allan would be electoral suicide, some would say infanticide.

That is why they or rather one person, Andrews, is allowed to hold on. Even Morrison probably wants Andrews to stay as it makes Labor look bad every moment Andrews is allowed to stay.

    Nightmare on Spring Street?
