My father did train greyhounds for a short time in the 70's.
Never owned or trained myself.
In my previous thread I noted there are many issues that government are trying to resolve without success. I know there are some bad apples in the industry but it seems the whole industry is being trashed by city slickers.
I bet all the latte people in their cafes at glebe are talking about how their property values are going to increase if Wentworth Park goes.
Trainers come from all over the state and Australia to Wentworth Park. If you ask me its the No 1 greyhound track in Australia. Its aspirational.
Sydney is a great city. I like the idea having something in the city that is aspirational for people who don't live in the North shore or the eastern suburbs.
I have a bet and I know I will have many avenues to bet on with or without greyhound racing.
In my mind I have doubts whether Mike Baird would have made his decision to close the industry with some association to greyhound racing.
