As per my earlier post on this thread, it's my assessment that ASIO is NOT protecting our core values. It's my assessment that ASIO is doing something very different altogether and as always in a manner kept secret from the public.
I was scarred by events surrounding ASIO many moons ago at a time when teacher unions demonstrating against the Vietnam War knew they were being stalked by Australia's 'intelligence services'.
The differential responses we're witnessing throughout Australia today to people exercising their democratic right to protest peacefully and including the thuggish responses to those of university students is a reminder of days gone by when one political leader even called on officials to 'run the bastards over'.
