The pirates may inadvertently be the catalyst for major change in Somalia. The international community weren't in the slightest bit interested in the region until they were personally effected.
With international donors now discussing the benefit of funding regional gov bodies to deal with security on land, a new era of accountability may be dawning. No doubt, any donations will be contingent on results and any further payments on the demonstration of good governance.
This all sounds positive for AOC and Range going forward, especially if/when oil is discovered.
