Accordingly, Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources in the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, initially reported that the plane was shot down by the Ukrainian military. The Ukrainian General Staff told the portal that the plane was allegedly carrying missiles for the S-300 system. However, after the Russian Defense Ministry reported that there were 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war on board the crashed Il-76, which was transported to the Belgorod region for replacement, Ukrayinska Pravda deleted the information about the involvement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the crash.
The RBC-Ukraine news agency did the same, removing the reference to the “work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces” from its report on the Ilyushin Il-76 crash. The agency continues to claim that the plane had missiles on board.
At the same time, the spokesman for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andrei Yusov, has already admitted that a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia was planned for today, and he stated that “the exchange is not taking place.”
The original Ukrayinska Pravda report is still linked in the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN
