They have a relationship with Green Lake a Chinese company that have import licenses.
Alterra is not following the standard milk farm model. They are working on becoming the system 5 implementation "go to" experts. System 5 will greatly improve farm production and profitability over traditional dairy farming practices.
As traditional dairy farms come under pressure Alterra will be well placed to help struggling farmers. If anything with all this dairy price problems in the market, Alterra and system 5 should be seen as a positive introduction to the industry IMO.
If anything the SP should be rising given Alterra is about improving the current system to make it more efficient.
