interesting how this survey shows that the mill IS NOT overwhelmingly opposed in tasmania. and what is more the level of support in the regions where the mill would be located is actually quite high.....the strongest opposition seems to come from the latte sipping city slickers down in Hobart.....

I think these numbers are actually not that bad for Gunns....if you ask most people about putting a new industrial plant near where they live you would generally get a fairly modest level of support....I know if someone wanted to locate an aluminium or car plant close to where I live I wouldnt support it.....NIMBY philosophy rules in my experience..
