re: good results......... Beauty of the good interseccts is that you can't fracc that sort of thickness in one go so they will be looking at sets of fraccs which is a bit like intersecting several sands in the one well.
This is a great result. No sands at shallow depths a la the Tomahawk wells but then again none were expected.
Shale thicknesses in Tomahawk's first two wells were 197 feet and 170 feet respectively whereas the Norwest wells drilled a shale thickness of 876 feet in the first well (with the full extent of the thickness not fully tested as for operational reasons the well was ended in the shale) and 489 feet in the second well
In other words the shale thicknesses so far are several times greater than what Tomahawk had in Oklahoma.
