Bonkers, I think this need to be looked at again as Milliken acquired Springfield LLC announced 8th sep 2015.
The announcement on the Springfield website states "Acquisition broadens ability to protect industrial workers, first responders and military personnel worldwide with expanded product portfolio and technical capabilities"
looks like direct competition for the DOD contract, as one of their key areas is FR woven fabrics, and strangely enough VC pops up out of the blue a few weeks later (probably completely unrelated though).
