I like flatter tax but you need to exempt lower income households from the income tax, up to a point.

Otherwise it is very inequitable as nearly all of their income goes into basic necessities cf higher income people.


I'd prefer keeping income tax the same but supplement education and health and go back to a child endowments type of payment using the exiting revenue only.

It's when one starts meddling with the income tax side that loop holes open.
