Nobody except other sympathetic extremists have ever said any terrorist attack against a Western nation was justified. I really struggle to comprehend how you could have formed that view.
Even so, it doesn't take a lot of critical thinking capacity to discern the difference between the governments, despotic and democratic alike, who destabilise the Middle East from the innocent citizens who must either attempt to live in a war zone of try and seek a safer life elsewhere.
Oh and the culture of NZ is nothing like that of Western Europe. It's derived from British culture, once Brexit happens this year there will be nothing tying the cultures of "Europe" with New Zealand. Not to mention they are as far apart geographically as you can get, the remark about Merkel and the Syrian crisis is nothing more than a dogwhistle. Were any of the victims even Syrian?
