    No, Debt still high, dividend still poor, management slightly better and mines performing better... smelters still a worry.

    This time most money is being made from coking coal which is booming (and they're expanding). Copper has stabilised with BHP production cuts... also any further rate cut in the states could boost copper demand.

    So basically its the performance of the commodity prices that will drive the share price higher. If you want management stick to Rio Tinto.
