Compare the 100 white collar job losses resulting from Yilgarn closure headlining this article with the 1600 jobs created at Onslow Iron at nameplate 35 million tonnes p/a. This compares favourably with 1000 jobs relocated from Yilgarn which produced only 9 million tonnes p/a.
MinRes is creating 500 jobs nett for a nett 26 million tonne increase in iron ore exports.
