What matters with respect to the presser held yesterday, and the various pronouncements made is how Chinese investors react over the next few days: whether they hold the line and seem convinced by yesterday's po-faced announcements, or whether mainland stocks sell off.
if the latter, CCP will react by wheeling out obvious fiscal stimulus that was lacking yesterday and the MIN short squeeze will repeat. Regardless, China requires vigorous fiscal stimulus to repair its deflationary spiral.
Meanwhile Chris is beavering away at MinRes preparing his October surprise for shorters IMO.
