I seem to remember there is this battery listed on another stock exchange, they announced all sorts of plans too. They too have run into various speed bumps along the way, it was only going to take so long to mass produce then they were going to send some off for field testing etc, then they found another issue.
Plans are nice. It's getting over the bumps along the way that count, and having someone who values your product highly enough that they will pay for it. You can DYOR to look at who has been studying a lot of different battery types and manufacturers to figure out if these funding organisations might know a thing or two - and then they allocated funds to Redflow among others.
Speed bumps, well the latest from one (former supplier?) has been over six months in the trialling for the fix, expected to be brought into production late next month. Persistent inconsistencies within batches relating to how the glass reinforcing is laid and performs inside the HDPE causing QA failure issues within the batteries.
Another manufacturer has spent their own funds and time to improve performance of another key battery component.
The ZBM has had a BMS for some time now, many years, recording and sending data back to Redflow. Millions of hours in the field, that data can be interrogated, analysed. I get the distinct impression from how that was mentioned that the mountain of correlated data counts for something
In league with that, I think you should re read;
https://redflow.com/project/redflow-awarded-200-kwh-long-duration-energy-storage-project-with-acciona-energia
ACCIONA Energía will also be collecting data. I can only guess that the ZBM3 and EnergyPod have to perform firstly to published specification and then also to expectation, in the field, perhaps as they have previously.
I did have a chat to Tim before the AGM, only about Government funding from one side or the other of Pacific to help out with a new factory, given the announcement about extra funding in the news that morning. We will all have to wait and see if those styles of funding comes to fruition, and what any conditions attached are for battery manufacturers. I've only heard a bit about energy suppliers yesterday arvo so far.
There were 3 Q&A opportunities, before the AGM, as part of the AGM till there were none left, and then rather longer after the AGM, all those other questions that you remember later on. I still have a few left now all the driving is done.
I seem to remember there is this battery listed on another stock...
