Just read the article. Hadn't read it before. Thanks.
I find Jack and ausheds about the same: jaded, overly whiny, stuck-in-the-past. They are also both EV-skeptics. But mostly they have a personal spat going because ausheds insulted him online in an unprofessional and uncivil manner (and years later ausheds continues to do so with his every post as his signature is intended to "take a piss on Jack", as he himself has stated many times; so they war on Jack will never be over, lol, and it is a "war" ausheds has no chance of winning).
The article is an informative take on the subject Jack covers. Full disclosure: I also own VML and UUUU as well as LYC. He does not mention HYM, but they intend to be active in US monazite for same reason and have signed on with UUUU.
The statement you highlight about rare earth magnets is simply a recognition that of all the elements and products that one can make from rare earths, none has the economic value of the magnet metals required for producing either of the permanent magnets - Dy(TbHo)-doped (LaCe)NdPrFeB or SmCo - that will be employed in an exponentially-increasing number of increasingly-efficient motors in an increasingly valuable set of products like vehicles from e-scooters to e-buses, robots, wind turbines, speakers, etc.
So Lynas has the best deposit of monazite ever identified by virtue of higher grades of the magnet metals (concisely: Nd, Pr, and Sm) AND the lower grades of U/Th. Still, I think I read that they pass about 50 tons Thorium per annum (apparently without concentration) into one of their multi-megaton processing byproducts and that has caused them a lot of problems in Malaysia where regulated radioactive limits are significantly lower than international standards due to an historical tragedy caused by another rare earth mining operation.
There are huge amounts of minerals sands that are heavily contaminated and cleaning that resource up will be a requirement in the near future. UUUU has a fine future imho and a JV between Lynas and UUUU could be down the road once the Blue Earth JV is up and running.
i like the article, to be honest. Of course I am a huge fan of Lynas and Jack clearly does not quite agree; nonetheless he does make comments about Lynas that should be considered very positive by investors. However, Jack is a respected contributor of many years as well as a fully-disclosed promoter; you-know-who (and we all do) is not even a pimple on his butt.
