Dynasty expands uranium exploration in Botswana
Dynasty operations
Dynasty Metals Australia has this week announced its strategy to significantly expand its uranium portfolio by applying for uranium exploration projects over five prospective areas across Botswana.
Dynasty Managing Director, Rita Brooks said she believes this is a significant opportunity to expand into international uranium exploration and to diversify the company’s Australian-based projects.
“Africa has a long-standing mining industry and supportive uranium exploration and mining policy,” Ms Brooks said.
“With a number of uranium exploration projects underway in Botswana and advanced mining in neighbouring Namibia, the company’s Botswana projects represent great opportunities for new project development,” she said
The projects are situated in the historic mining rich province of Selebi-Phikwe and Sekoma in close proximity to Francistown and Botswana’s capital city Gaborone.
Botswana has an established diamond, gold and nickel mining industry, with A-Cap Resources, African Energy and Bannerman Resources currently developing uranium exploration projects in country.
Dynasty will also expand its exploration team to reflect its growing portfolio and commence exploration once the licences have been granted.
