Miner up-beat about Eucla Basin talks

An exploration company which says it has discovered major mineral sand deposits in the Eucla Basin, says it has held positive talks with the Western Australian Government.
Diatreme Resources says the deposits around the border of WA and South Australia contain zircon rich mineral sands which signal a major new mining province.
The company's chief executive, Tony Fawdon, says he spoke to the WA Government about the need for power and rail line upgrades should mining begin in the region.
"There were suggestions that they made that possibly they'd look more favourably at a multi-user infrastructure capacity where you'd have a number of companies pulling on the infrastructure and Indigenous communities in the region," he said.
