The Managing Director of Sherlock Bay Nickel Corporation Ltd (Sherlock), Mr Darren Hedley, and the Chairman of Mineralogy Pty Ltd, Professor Clive F Palmer, confirmed in Perth today that they have agreed that the Mineralogy Office and representation in Beijing would be extended to represent Sherlock’s interests in China. Professor Palmer stated: “We have a high regard for Sherlock’s Chairman and Managing Director and we believe they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to lead the development of the fifteen million tonnes a year Cane River sinter feed project.” Professor Palmer confirmed: “I will leave for China in the new year to brief our Beijing team on our arrangements with Sherlock and to ensure they assist Sherlock in pursuing prospects in China for the sale of the sinter feed on a long term basis and of obtaining substantial Chinese investment support necessary to develop the Cane River Project.” “I am confident with Sherlock’s team now in action on the Cane River Project that they will provide the necessary impetus to allow our arrangements to be concluded following their current due diligence”.
