Gotch fortunately the technology is ancient and the company that supplied and installed the ball mill have done it many times before.
The most difficult part is getting optimum recovery rates. by varying the type and concentration of dispersants in the water in the flotation circuit. We may get 1-2% better recovery. May not sound like much but can add up to millions of dollars over time.
There may be a few tricks in getting the regrind circuit working at optimal levels, but again we are talking a few percent in total.
If the mill doesnt produce more than 10000 tonnes in the first 12 months then there have been serious problems. But they are only quoting 8500 tonnes to err on the conservative side.
