Known since May 2006
Concurrently, a low temperature, low energy system is being developed for iron removal as
hematite and regeneration of the lixiviant solution. Preliminary energy and mass balances using
AspenPlus® suggest that the process should be economic even with the low head grades
experienced at Young. Jervois is therefore planning to move forward with process development,
comprising operating an agitation leach mini pilot plant circuit later in 2006.
