Looking at the course of sales for Godfrey (GFY) today, there is a whole series of trades of 1, 2 or 3 shares at $1.020. They go from about 11:33 to about 12:18, and occur every couple of minutes.
Can anyone please help to explain how this would occur, and why?
How? I'm assuming some sort of semi-automated algorithmic trading is occuring, but how is this done without paying 20x the share price in brokerage each time - unless the order price is changed up/down for a nano-second?
Why? I got nothing.
