The Labour party has had a very unpleasant experience getting into bed with big business, remember WA Inc!!!

In a situation like this there is a process that must be followed, it can't be circumvented.

A lease was not renewed by one company and then taken up by another. It is open and shut.

As said before by another poster if RIO are unhappy they must sue the Mining Warden (State Government). They may get damages, but I doubt it. Lets face it it is RIO's responsibility to know when leases are due to be renewed and taking the appropriate action, no one else.

There is no public interest in the matter. For a minister to overule the decision of the Mining Warden we would have a situation tantamount to a vote of no confidence in your employee. It will not happen.

Judge CAZ on it's economic merits and not on the mutterings of some miscontents around the traps!!
